H-E-B is a Texas-based grocery store chain with over 400 store locations and more than 125,000 Partners (employees), making it one of the largest employers in the state and the 6th largest privately held company in the United States.
For the past two decades, H-E-B Partners have relied on a single tool for managing in-store inventory. The software (Windows CE) for this legacy system was approaching the end of its support. In mid-2020, we were tasked with reimagining the future of inventory management by designing a new experience for iOS.

Results
• Launched MVP iOS app to 30+ stores within 20 months of the project's start. The app is now in use in 100+ stores and on 500+ devices.
• 61% improvement in usability compared to the legacy experience.
• Established a successful model for cross-functional design team collaboration with stakeholders, Product, and Engineering, resulting in a 250% increase in Design hiring over the last year.
